Grand Café

The Grand Café is the largest part of Castle. The corresponding café, listening to the same name, with its high ceiling and stately bar is absolutely the place-to-be.

A towncafé in a green area

Take a look outside through the large windows, you'll see the canal and centuries old trees. But the vibe feels like you found yourself in a stately towncafe! A large television screen shows the football match or a family film. Or how about a karaoke contest? Might be the start of an exciting musical career!. 

Do you feel like escaping the party rumour for a while? Alongside the Grand Café you'll find the beautiful central hall of the Castle. Nestle yourself in of the comfortable arm chairs, while admiring the art and ornaments present. At one side you'll see the entrance to the courtyard and on the other side you'll find the Castle's formal entrance.

The facilities

Beautifully decorated with inlaid ceiling and wooden skirtings. Every pub owner's desire to have a cafe like this in the middle of the city. The following facilities can be expected:

Communal spaces

  • The Grand-Café exclusively for your group. You will serve the tap, which means you'll decide about opening hours as well! 
  • Bar is equipped, tea and coffee facilities upon request.
  • TV, video, stereo.
  • Own laptop, Iphone or our Maxx-Music or Karaoke can be connected to the Hi-Fi.
  • Musiccomputer Maxx-Music can be rented as well as the Karaoke installation.
  • Wireless internet via our free private WiFi network.

Bedrooms

  • Multiple 2 up to 4 persons bedrooms, minimum 35 people.
  • Grand-café is easy to combine with other parts for extra bedrooms for up to 100 people.
  • All rooms have a private shower, toilet and washbasin.
  • All beds are single beds, most beds 2.10 metres long. The beds have fitted sheet and duvet; the linen package (duvet cover/pillow case) is included in the package.

Outside Area

  • Sufficient seating in the courtyard or on the terrace.
  • Spacious pavilion in front of the Castle to sit outside or have a barbeque.
  • A barbeque can also be held on the main platform with a view on the gardens.
  • On our own estate off 35 acres, you can stroll around, make a nice walk. And between the estate and the Maas river the nature reserve "Berckterveld" is located which routes right through Venlo.

Activities

  • 9-hole golf course and special golf clinic for the Castle's guests.
  • Boat in the Canal.
  • Vaults tour in the cellars of the Castle.
