Kasteel de Berckt is situated by the river Meuse, set in 24 ha. of parkland. The private park is surrounded by the moat and garden walls and has many exotic trees.

The village of Baarlo and also Steyl, the cloister village on the opposite banks of the River Meuse, add extra to the splendour of Kasteel de Berckt.
Whether you want to explore the peaceful region either on foot or on a bicycle, or cross the river with the ferry, or bring a visit to the Mission museum or to the botanical gardens, they are all day-to-day experiences of the past that have become unique for the people today. The same goes for floating in a boat on the waters of the moats of the estate, in the shade of the ancient magnolia-trees. And afterwards, in the evening, you sit down at the table to enjoy an authentic royal dinner in a traditional style, with a pint or a goblet with something that warms the heart.
